I used my benefits to attend the Southwestern College Police Academy and make my dreams of becoming a police officer come true. The Police Academy is taught by officers from National City, Chula Vista and San Diego and when they saw what I could do, it gave me my confidence back . . . That’s when I knew I could do it.
